I was born in LA and moved with my family to the south coast of England when I was 8. My interests were varied; on the one hand I loved maths and science, but equally I loved creative problem solving and would make clothes and bags alongside my studies.
I did my GCSEs a year early, then achieved 2 A*s and 3 As at A-Level, and went off to university to study Finance - nearly choosing to study Fashion instead.
Four years in investment banking taught me a lot. What possibly taught me even more is the following year when I learnt how to build walls and tile, set up a company, use no-code solutions to build an MVP, go viral on social media, and develop a sales outreach strategy to secure large enterprise clients.
As I now look for my next opportunity alongside studying for my Personal Trainer qualification, the most valuable lessons I've learned are:
1 - 'failure' can teach you more than success
2 - the people are more important than the work itself
3 - health is the most important thing

4 years as an investment banker. Promoted early and consistently ranked top of my class. Lucky enough to work on defining transactions in the luxury fashion industry as well as on fundraises for late-stage tech companies.
